Consult the Laws of Florida to determine the effective date of a creating act or a particular amendment.

House of Representatives Handbook
Definition:

Compiled by the Office of the Clerk, the handbook, "Welcome to the Florida House of Representatives," contains descriptions of the three branches of government, photographs and descriptions of the officers of the House, photographs of members of the House, and statistical information. It includes an explanation of the legislative process, including committees, the budget process, and descriptions of session and other House activities. Significant dates in legislative history and interesting Florida facts are also featured. The booklet is free and is available from the Office of the Clerk.

Definition:

A one-house document used for matters not involving the other house. It is often ceremonial or congratulatory in nature. Resolutions do not require the signature of the Governor and they do not become law.
